Hub, not pub. People, not pokies. Make yourself at home at The Gladdy - the kind of neighbourhood place where cooked brekkies turn into long lunches and easy dinners.
We’re building a true Third Place for Stockton: conversation first, community over clutter, and comfort without the carry‑on. Same generous plates, same friendly crew - just pick the vibe that suits: Bar, Dining Room or Alfresco. Kids are welcome across the entire venue, and well‑behaved pups are welcome in dog‑friendly areas.
Walk-ins welcome but you may also like to book a table.
The cafe

Verandah
Enjoy the vibes of Mitchell street, soak up the sun and chill with the locals. The Gladdy Verandah is that happy welcoming zone between just wandering past, stopping for a chat with your mates or venturing inside. Glorious.

Hub, not pub.
Front bar
Dog‑friendly, casual, always buzzing. This is the neighbourhood hub: morning coffees, arvo schooners and easy dinners where the soundtrack is chats and clinks - people, not pokies. Perfect for a solo pit‑stop, a quick bite off the lunch menu, or gathering the crew for dinner and a round (or two).
Good to know
- Dog‑friendly: yep, bring your best mate (leads on, pats encouraged)
- Kids: permitted across the whole venue, including the bar area
- Food: full menu available; rotating specials from Head Chef Simona
- Bottle Shop: grab something to take home after

Comfy, family-friendly
Dining room
Comfortable, family‑friendly and a little bit Italian at heart. This is where Simona’s seasonal plates shine - mid‑week feeds to weekend catch‑ups. Long tables welcome, birthdays easy, and conversation the main course.
Good to know
- Kids: high chairs, kids’ menu and a dedicated kids’ nook nearby
- Dietaries: gluten‑free, vego and vegan options - just sing out
- Groups: easy for birthdays, team lunches and long tables

Take it outside
Alfresco
Sunshine, sea breeze and pram‑friendly space. Our outdoor area is made for early coffees, mothers’ groups, and little legs that need to wriggle. Catch the morning sun, park the pram, and let the day roll on into lunch. It’s the easiest spot to make new mates over a flat white.
Good to know
- Great for kids & mothers’ groups - plenty of space and the kids’ nook close by
- Morning sunshine - prime time for brekkie and caffeine
- Dog‑friendly in outdoor areas
- Grab & go 7 days: pastries, toasted sangas, wraps, brekky burritos and acai bowls
